Layer Cake Malbec is a long-time favourite for me. It’s bold and flavourful, and yet an easy sipper. Newbies and old hands at Malbec alike love this. I can go into notes, but really, you should just try it for yourself. You can’t go wrong.
1884 Syrah, Argentina
This light, fruity, dry wine somehow avoids the soul-sucking, cheek-puckering dryness of a few Syrahs I’ve had (which will remain nameless). I was pouring this at Edmonton’s Winefest for people who swore they only drink white wine, with excellent results.
